The last few weeks have had a few big moments in the YPA program. On January 31 & February 7, students received promotions after completing examinations and welcomed their friends to our first ever Bring A Friend Pizza Party. Promotions: Grace, shidoin ikkyu; Harper, sankyu; Bella, rokukyu, Ethan, nanakyu, Seamus, hachikyu. At the pizza party, Bella performed her kyu exam, and the entire group, including those that participate in the adult classes were on the mat together. We look forward to having more events that combine fun and aikido.

Many thanks to Parker Shihan for his visit. As always the wealth of knowledge, willingness to share, and devotion to the art was inspirational. Congratulations also to Charlie Burmeister Sensei who successfully tested for his Godan. Way to go Charlie!!!

Open House! Tiger Lily will be holding an open house on Saturday, February 23^rd from 10AM to 1PM. We'll be offering demonstrations in Aikido (Youth and Adult programs), T'ai Chi, and self defense. This is a great opportunity to get to know the school, and the programs we offer. If you have any questions, please give us a call or email - we're happy to help!

We have a new Aikido for Women program beginning on Wednesday, January 23rd with a free class, then continuing for eight weeks. The fee for the class is $85. Comfortable workout clothes are required. Click here for more information.

The fall seminar with Parker Sensei was a huge success, brining in visitors from California, Detroit, London Ontario and places in between. This was a special workshop for us as Teddie Sensei passed her Yondan and Michael Sensei passed his Sandan examinations this weekend. They were part of six Dan test that Parker Sensei administered during his visit. Congratulations also go out to Greg Gruninger and Stephen Chau who passed their Yondan examinations and to Larry Castleberry and Kevin Fowler who passed their Sandan examinations. Most of all we'd like to thank Parker Sensei who is so giving of his time and energy, and relentless in his drive to see us all improve. Thank you Sensei!
