Aikido

The youngest of the Japanese martial arts, Aikido focuses on non-violent conflict resolution, and self defense while causing least harm. Structured study in the Yoshinkan style includes regular rank promotions & special workshops. Just a few of the benefits to be gained from the study of Aikido include an improvement in physical fitness, self-esteem, coordination, mental focus and discipline. This program is strongly oriented toward non-violence and conflict management. Member of the International Yoshinkan Aikido Federation.

Young Person's Aikido

Young Persons' Aikido Particular attention is paid to non-violence and managing conflict and anger in the Aikido classes for children and teens. By learning the techniques of Aikido, young people can begin to recognize how to avoid conflict and how to resolve conflict constructively when it arises. The young peoples classes are taught in a positive atmosphere where encouragement, achievement, self-discipline and respect for all is emphasized.

Adult Aikido

Adult Aikido

This class (which meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30PM and Saturdays from 10-11AM) is our standard adult class. Here students of all levels work together on improving their movements and technique. You will see wider variety of techniques presented here than in the beginners class. However, what is covered in each day's class will be tailored to the students in attendance. All students are encouraged to attend these classes.
